Back in my Foundation Year, for my final project I decided to illustrate Thumbelina by Hans Christian Andersen. I absolutely love children stories. Even though I am 20 year old now, I still love them! I really related to the story Thumbelina, of a tiny girl who explores the world, as I used to be the smallest in my class and got picked on a bit for that.
I ended up with two versions, one A5 booklet and one A6 hardback perfect bound book. I preferred the small hardback book, as it looked more professional and also fit more with the story of a tiny girl. If I had more time, I would have made the book even smaller and also have a more decorative cover.
